Have you ever been dancing in the rain?
I lean outside my window.
Why are the clouds so grey?
Today is the day I planned to see you.
Why must this world put my love on delay?
You call me on the phone,
I hear your sweet voice.
This weather attempts to leave me depressed
but this romance leaves me no choice.
So I swing by your work and I drag you outside.
You give me your protests, but I won’t listen.
The clouds begin to pour – to ruin our day.
But I love how the raindrops makes your face glisten.
It may be raining, but I love you.
The dark clouds can’t deny that I can’t resist you.
So we’ll wash our souls in the rain
as we dance a dance for two.
The streets are flooding and our feet are wet.
The shopkeepers look at us like we’re crazy –
But who cares?
Love has made my best judgments lazy.
It may be raining, and I’m drowning in you.
My wet clothes can’t deny that I can’t resist you.
So we’ll wash our hearts in the rain
as we dance a dance for two. . .
Dancing in the rain. . .
