Single Lovers Explain Why They’re Single: Part 1 | Poetry Collaboration with Yassy

Hello, everyone. I’m happy to present my first collaboration with Yassy (Yashkan): Single Lovers Explain Why They’re Single: Part 1. This poem is a group of limericks and, yes, intended to be a little funny and absurd. I know you’ll like it! And let us know if you think we should do a Part 2!

I once met a sweetheart from “Perris.”
Who said, of which, she was the fairest.
I gave love a chance
And I sailed off to France.
I eat pates alone now in “Paris.”

Once upon a time, there lived a bunny
Who was charming, grey and funny.
She chanced upon him in email
Where he turned into her fairytale.
But Warner never let their love prevail.

Warner went to Paris on a Ferris.
All he had were the ‘pates’ to cherish.
Together we ate:
Two bachelors commiserate
Of a bunny who hopped down to “Perris.”
