I want to be free like. . .

Like the high falcon,
floating over the dark woods
to the azure sky.

Like Cheyenne riding
off into the last sunset
on eternal plains.

Like a Bedouin,
carrying my pride of spice
across seas of sand.

Like the last James Dean,
“A Rebel Without a Cause.”
. . .And a leather jacket.

      1. You’re welcome….and you’re so right, my dear friend….
Spreading my wings to take a flight….looking deep down, where things mostly shine….but when things ain’t alright, then they seem to sleep or they simply die
