On the beaches of white sand,
Your light embrace felt so pure.
You were where my love began,
Your tender arms around me. . .

Your lips, warm like cinnamon,
and orange blossoms in your hair. . .
I was always sweet but soft.
You bit my heart like a pear.

Our love reached up to heaven
climbing ylang-ylang vines.
Like golden blooms in the sun.
But all blossoms fade in time.

I came back home to our beach
To fall in your arms – I hoped.
But the gentle tides came in
And washed away dreams like soap

  1. Aah I had to read the first two verses over and over again. Love the romance in the piece. You are gifted Jay.
Although am not a big fan of heart breaks, the poem engaged the heart and stroked the senses. ❀️
Nice to have you back on WP. 😊
