Black Afgano by Nasomatto is Perfume Poetry.

Poetry inspired by the perfume Black Afgano by Nasomatto.

Is it possible your lips
Could burn my cheeks,
Like the smell
Of green leaves
In a fire, or
Of your black Afghan sweater
Lingering in the back seat of
My car –
Next to where you
Dropped your lipstick,
Like the charred remains
Of our last relationship?
[sic – run-on sentence]
I always knew
You were a little nutty.
You were so expensive,
And what little you gave!
But yet….
Addictive and sweet?
You live by the fire
But
I died by your fire. . .
