Squid by Zoologist is Perfume Poetry.

Poetry inspired by the perfume Squid by Zoologist.

Take me down, deep
into the blue depths,
Past our sea monsters,
Covered in a love so thick.

If you had more arms,
You could wrap each one around me,
Like a treasure clutched
By a cephalopod.
[cuter to say cuttlefish?]
Never let me go. . .

We’ll go below
the salty sea,
Beyond the bother
of the light of the sky.
Your ink, blocking,

I’ll close my eyes.
I’ll see nothing.
I’ll know nothing.
Except you holding me tight.

  1. “Cuter to say cuttlefish?”…your words are poetic perfection! “Your ink, blocking and protecting”. I’m imagining the peace under the water with the full protection of an embrace. I’ve watched 3 episodes of WandaVision. I think I understand what you mean! Good to see you, Jay!

      1. Thank you, Jay. And you as well. Life has been so busy. Things change and I adapt. I try to grow through the changes. Time marches on and I try to stay peaceful and calm and coherent. 🤍
