Slowly Steal my Heart

A honeycomb drips in
the summer sun,
The bees, inquisitive,
collect and hum.
Slowly Steal my Heart.

Among the meadows lies
a prickly rose,
A jasmine, whose aroma
no one knows.
Slowly Steal my Heart.

And in between, there
flows a fountain, sealed,
Ferocious tigers guard it
with eyes peeled.
Slowly Steal my Heart.

I close my eyes and
feel the summer breeze,
Over the fields, it beckons,
“Come, with ease.”
Slowly Steal my Heart.
