Inside these woods – deep, dark, dank and dirty.
I saw a rose – lost in antiquity.

I caught your scent adrift – floating in air.
A ‘something’ I can’t put my finger on.
I looked in my locked hand, but you’re not there.
Like wind through a forest, you’re there – then gone.

Then in a moment, suddenly you’re back
A, sweet praline – you’re my delicacy.
Treasure personified – mine to unpack.
A pretty kiss levitating towards me.

She whispered in winds of allegory,
“If you want my love, then come and find me.”
