Forward Thinking | Short Poem No. 9

Forward thinking.
Not looking back
And not even looking around.
Just thinking forward.
Because, if it wasn’t for tomorrow,
what would be today?
Or, even worse,
if I was stuck in the past.

I guess you’d call that hope
and few other things last forever.

forward thinking, best, blog, writing, poem, poems, poetry, life

And when there’s nothing else to hope for,
that is when people find their faith.

I always give myself
something to look forward too,
because if I only look at the daily mundane,
I’ll always just feel the same.

And it’s not every day
that something special happens.

Raw Story | Short Poem No. 8

A raw story.

My heart is raw.
Hands wide open.
Take some of you and
deposit some hope in.

My soul is raw,
Mouth closed.
Less of me,
but making me free.

My body is raw,
won’t last forever.
But I see something coming
from the Giver.

Raw Story

My heart is raw,
been a few years.
But if it gets hard
there’s no more tears.

My soul is strong,
stronger every day.
When you lay it down
you’ll pick it up along the way.

My body is raw,
won’t last forever.
But I’ll get a new one
from the Giver.

Hands Fit Perfectly In Mine | Short Poem No. 7

Your hands fit perfectly in mine.

I’m so happy we’re us.

We fit together like two perfect hands,

Even though mine are much bigger than yours.

Hands fit perfectly

Sometimes I can’t wait to go home,

And do something “stupid” with you.

Like Watch our favorite TV.

Or eat something silly like

Hot dogs and pickles. We always love that.

If it’s a bad day, You’re an escape.

If it’s a bad day, you make it great.

It must be fate that we’re together

because your hands fit perfectly in mine.
