Lucid journeys to revision oneself
can begin and end with bewilderment.
So I ventured – down the brown cinnamon trees,
And black-flowered vanilla vines.
The white blooming almonds trees.
And the burning pink-pepper bushes.
Soon I reached where the aloe-woods grow black,
and critters make the dark moss their home.
I unsaddled the horse – set it free.
This was my quest to finish alone.
In the pitch of the forest, I found you.
Your sweet love – Shimmering and Elusive.
I took you by the hand and with just one question. . .
“Are we exclusive?”
