I’m plucking secrets
of subconscious,
Disecting through
the diary of today.
From the mundane,
we seek to salvage minds.
Like finding that perfume
of preciousness,
I stop to analyze
what it might say.

The loudest often are
most insecure
But who knew that soft violets
spoke so well?
How might I be if perfume
tailored me?
Pink peppercorns,
a sprezzatura smell;
Sophistication ties
my charm secure.

So many things have flooded
through my mind.
It has me drowning
deep inside my brain.
What if a drink of water’s
all I need?
For then, my demons seem
much less insane.
My life begins to seem
a bit more kind.

It’s not a lot of fun having a cold –
A stuffiness, which everybody knows.
The laying of my head’s appreciated!
But sadly, sweetest scents won’t tease my nose.
I guess, just for a night, I might withhold.
