What a joy – to have feelings “taken” and
Sliced – Savored! Like a candied chocolate orange.
What a fine line to walk between love and
Crime! Sweet delicacies of a heart “torn.”
Love ain’t nothin’ but a chocolate orange.

That stirs my soul with every breath I breathe,
Intoxicates, then fades away too soon,
That leaves me longing long after you leave?
But no, your love’s a garden in full bloom
That every day reveals me blossoms new

The scents of places, people that I miss
Like every time I step onto this beach
New opportunities will to be missed
New memories will be beyond my reach.
Sometimes I step into pasts remembered. Sometimes I move on to surrender.
